Please No Pictures by BBU and Das Racist

BBU are a conscious Rap group from Chicago and all of their stuff manages to be both pretty cognitive and still good fun/ an excellent dance (even if they do make you realise and feel shit for your privilege sometimes)

This track is a collaboration from favourites of mine Das Racist, who do a similar thing but maybe with even more fun

Look them both up, BBU’s bell hooks EP is available for free download, go find it

LSradio

Joe Newman, Alt J frontman, takes time away from recording his LSRadio SoundCity Session to chat with Louis Van Kleeff about the origins of ‘∆’ and what he is looking forward to most at SoundCity 2012.

Listen to Louis van Kleeff dropping a bomb on Scottish lads Bwani Junction, who came in to see us for a session today!

Really  nice and talented guys this lot, Hopefully you should hear some more from them some time soon

My Interview with Clock Opera from when they came to play for LSradio during sound city this weekend! When I find it I’ll post the video of it, one of them almost fell off our hastily prepared chairs

Prepare

For some serious spam from LSradio's Liverpool Sound City coverage.
I managed to do Loads of interviews including, Alt J, Clock Opera, Death in Vegas and Bwani Junction, plus we recorded live sessions with pretty much everyone on that list, so look out for them when I find them, because they are all pretty great.

Bombed Out Church- Liverpool
The bombed out remains of St Lukes in Liverpool. It was hit by incendiary bombs during the second world war and now stands as one of the main landmarks in the  Ropewalks. It hosts film screenings at night. No one even calls it its original name anymore.

I’m realising that a lot of the stuff I’ve put on this blog has been this kind of slow dripped, stretched out warped in chillwave stuff, I hope it isn’t getting irritating.

However it is what I’m enjoying at the moment and I think Mmoths are doing it beautifully, if you can you should catch them playing some of the vice issue launch shows, they’re sure to kill it

SOPHIE- Selected demo’s

I know these are only the 2 minute demo versions of all of these tracks, but they all suggest a truly amazing party if they are ever released into the world fully formed. Whilst falling very much into the dance music realm they are all pretty interesting, might even get some club play. Have a look and keep your eyes open for later details
